The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 2,094 MW of solar module capacity, bringing the total capacity to 58,422 MW.
Major additions include SAEL Solar P6 with 2,065 MW and Grew Energy with 29 MW. Meanwhile, ITI, Jyotitech Solar, SunField Energy, and Suryakamal Energy have been removed from the list.
New entrants on the provisional list include Ganesh Green Bharat with 131 MW, Unique Sun Power with 43 MW enlisted and 200 MW applied capacity, and Credence Solar Panels with 500 MW enlisted and applied capacity. The ALMM mandate, reimposed on April 1, 2024, requires projects receiving government subsidies to use modules from the ALMM.
