MNRE adds seven solar module manufacturers to ALMM, expands capacity by 8.06 GW
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar modules by adding seven new manufacturers with a combined enlisted manufacturing capacity of 8,064 MW (8.064 GW).
The latest revision is led by Adani New Industries Limited, which accounts for more than half of the newly added capacity. The updated list also highlights the continued shift of India’s domestic solar manufacturing industry towards N-type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technology, with six of the seven new entrants receiving approvals for TOPCon-based modules.
Adani leads additions
Adani New Industries Limited has been enlisted with a manufacturing capacity of 4,781 MW from its Mundra facility in Gujarat, making it the largest addition in the latest ALMM revision.
The company has received approval for bifacial N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass modules beginning with the AB-G12R-132-610 series. The approved modules are based on 132 half-cut cells, are designed for 1,500 V systems and offer module efficiencies exceeding 23%.
While Mundra (Adani) Solar Energy Ltd. had featured in earlier versions of the ALMM, this is the first time Adani New Industries Limited has been included as a separate ALMM-listed manufacturer with an enlisted manufacturing capacity of 4,781 MW.
SLR Solar Private Limited is the second-largest new entrant, with an enlisted manufacturing capacity of 1,020 MW at its Kishangarh facility in Rajasthan. The company has secured approval for bifacial N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass modules with ratings of up to 630 Wp.
Fujiyama Power Systems Limited has entered the ALMM with an enlisted manufacturing capacity of 1,014 MW from its manufacturing facility at Nanglachamroo in Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Unlike most of the new entrants, Fujiyama has been approved for bifacial mono PERC glass-to-glass modules in both 156-cell and 144-half-cut cell configurations, with module ratings of up to 580 Wp.
Other additions
HR Solar Solution Private Limited has been added to the list with an annual manufacturing capacity of 631 MW from its Uluberia-II facility in Howrah, West Bengal.
The company has received approvals for bifacial N-type TOPCon modules with transparent backsheet, N-type TOPCon modules with white backsheet and mono PERC modules, with product ratings ranging from around 290 Wp to 585 Wp.
Veda Solar Private Limited has been enlisted with a manufacturing capacity of 546 MW from its facility at Mahuvej, Mangrol in Surat, Gujarat. The approved portfolio includes bifacial N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass modules in multiple configurations, including 635 Wp, 615 Wp and 590 Wp variants.
SENSES14 Power Solution LLP has been added with an enlisted manufacturing capacity of 57 MW from its manufacturing facility at BIADA Industrial Area, Bihta in Patna, Bihar.
Poola Energy Private Limited has also made its ALMM debut with an enlisted manufacturing capacity of 15 MW from its manufacturing unit in Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh. The company has received approval for bifacial N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass modules across multiple cell configurations, with module ratings ranging from 255 Wp to 650 Wp.
