Maruti Suzuki commissions 30 MWp solar power at Haryana plants

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has commissioned a total of 30 MWp solar power capacity across its Haryana facilities. This includes a 20 MWp installation at Kharkhoda and a 10 MWp unit at Manesar.
Alongside these projects, the company is increasing the share of green power sourced from State Electricity Boards, further reducing its reliance on conventional energy.
Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of MSIL, confirmed plans to scale solar capacity to 319 MWp by FY2030- 31, backed by an investment of over Rs 9.25 billion.
Maruti Suzuki expects renewable sources to contribute nearly 85% of its electricity consumption by FY2030- 31.
