Kshema Power wins Rs 1.08 billion contract for 400 kV transmission line

Kshema Power has secured a Rs 1.08 billion contract to build a 42-kilometre, 400 kV transmission line in Ananthapuram district, Andhra Pradesh, to evacuate power from a 1 GW wind farm. The project will use a single-circuit line on double-circuit towers to support reliable power transmission.

The contract includes the full project lifecycle, covering design approval, material procurement, civil works, tower erection, regulatory clearances, testing, and commissioning. Kshema Power will also deploy specialised teams to manage project execution.

Kshema Power is an engineering, procurement, and construction company focused on renewable energy infrastructure. The company has completed over 4.5 GW of wind projects and installed 1,600 km of transmission lines across India.

Managing Director Dr Sateesh Basant stated that the project marks the company’s return to high-voltage transmission and supports its expansion in renewable energy infrastructure. He added that it will generate employment opportunities and strengthen Kshema Power’s growth prospects.
