KPI Green wins BoS orders for 534 MW Khavda solar cluster

Author: PPD Team Date: January 19, 2026

KPI Green Energy Limited has secured orders for the Balance of System (BoS) package for a 534 MW solar power cluster at Khavda in Gujarat. The contracts, covering supply and onsite services, were awarded by Adani Green Energy Limited and Adani Green Energy Six Limited.

In its regulatory filing, KPI Green Energy stated that the BoS scope is split into two distinct orders. The supply order includes manufacturing, procurement and delivery of materials, along with commissioning spares. The onsite services order covers installation, testing, civil works and complete commissioning of the solar power projects.

The company said the orders strengthen its role as an execution partner for large utility-scale solar projects and support its plan to scale up its BoS and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities. Project execution will take place in phases, in line with timelines defined under the contracts.

KPI Green Energy confirmed that the contracts were awarded by domestic entities and do not qualify as related-party transactions. The total contracted capacity under the orders stands at 534 MW.

This announcement follows a significant start to the year for the company. On January 12, 2026, KPI Green Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat in Rajkot, proposing to invest approximately Rs 4,000 crore in developing renewable energy projects within the state. Earlier in January, the company also secured its first major foray into utility-scale energy storage. Its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, received a Letter of Intent from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects with a total capacity of 445 MW and 890 MWh.
