KEC International Limited, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) arm of RPG Group, has announced new orders worth Rs 2,518 crore across its business segments, with continued growth in its transmission and distribution (T&D) portfolio in international markets.
The T&D segment secured projects including 400/132/66 kV transmission lines in Africa, along with additional transmission lines and substations in other overseas markets. The company also won tower supply contracts in Europe and the Americas, and orders for hardware and poles in the Americas. Its cables and conductors business received orders for various cable types across India and international markets.
Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of KEC, stated that repeat order inflows from Africa indicate a recovery in the region’s T&D market. He added that the company’s international order book is expanding across multiple geographies.
Outside the energy segment, KEC secured its largest commercial real estate order to date in the civil business from a developer in western India. It also won a joint venture order in the Train Collision Avoidance System (Kavach) segment under its transportation vertical.
KEC operates across T&D, civil, transportation, renewables, oil and gas pipelines, and cables and conductors, with a presence in more than 110 countries.
