Jupiter Renewables, a subsidiary of Jupiter International, will invest Rs 27 billion to set up a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) cell and module manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be developed in two phases at Rambilli in Anakapalli district.

Phase 1, with an investment of Rs 15.04 billion, includes 2.4 GW of solar PV cell and 1.5 GW of module manufacturing capacity. It is scheduled for commissioning by March 2026. Phase 2 will add another 2.4 GW of solar cell manufacturing, with an investment of Rs 11.96 billion, and is expected to be operational by July 2026.

Jupiter will become the third company to establish solar manufacturing operations in Andhra Pradesh. In April 2025, the company raised Rs 5 billion from ValueQuest SCALE Fund and affiliates to expand its solar manufacturing business. The funds, combined with internal accruals, will support a broader capital expenditure programme aimed at reaching 5.6 GW of solar cell and 2.4 GW of solar module capacity.

Jupiter is positioning itself as an integrated player across the solar manufacturing value chain. The firm aims to reduce import dependence, support national renewable energy goals, and create employment through its new facilities.

In January 2025, Jupiter also signed an MoU with the Odisha government to invest Rs 20.05 billion in another solar plant. That facility will have annual production capacities of 4.2 GW for solar cells and 3.6 GW for modules.
