JinkoSolar launches AIDC modules for data centres

Author: PPD Team Date: March 24, 2026

JinkoSolar has introduced a new line of photovoltaic modules designed for AI data centres, GPU clusters, supercomputing facilities, and edge computing networks. The product, called the AIDC module, is built on the company’s Tiger Neo 3.0 tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cell platform.

The modules are rated at a front-side efficiency of 24.8% and a power output of 670W or higher. JinkoSolar positions the product around six performance parameters: high efficiency, bifacial power gain, low-light response, fire resistance, hail resistance, and mechanical load capacity.

Performance and energy yield

The modules have a bifaciality factor of 85%, enabling them to capture reflected light from surrounding surfaces. Under a ground reflectance of 0.26, a 670W module can deliver an effective output of 844W. This translates to about 1.26W of generation capacity for every 1W of rated front-side power. The company indicates that such performance is relevant for high-latitude and desert regions, where snow and sand increase reflectivity and align with common data centre locations.

The low-light performance specification addresses continuous power demand in data centres. JinkoSolar states that the AIDC module can increase generation by up to 8.93% in the 100–200 W/m² irradiance range compared to back-contact (BC) modules. It also maintains 95–98% relative output under heavy fog or shaded conditions.

Safety and durability standards

The modules carry dual fire-resistance certification under International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61730-2:2023 and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 790 Class A standards. Insulation materials are rated UL 94 V-0, with self-extinguishing properties within 10 seconds. The design includes an arc-resistant junction box to reduce direct current (DC) arc risk in rooftop installations.

For structural resilience, the modules have passed a 55 mm hail impact test, exceeding the 25 mm benchmark for conventional modules. They are rated for front-side mechanical loads of 6,000 Pa, equivalent to snow loads above 600 kg per square metre.

JinkoSolar, the largest cumulative PV shipper globally, marks its entry into the data centre-focused segment with the AIDC module line.
