The Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Harsh Sanghavi, on 18 December 2025 inaugurated new advanced manufacturing facilities for solar modules and wind turbine components near Ahmedabad. The facilities are operated by subsidiaries of the INOXGFL Group and are aligned with India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

The inauguration marked the commissioning of two major units. Inox Solar Limited commissioned the first phase of its 3 GW solar module manufacturing plant at Bavla in Ahmedabad district. The fully automated facility is designed to manufacture next generation N type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) bifacial solar modules using M10R and G12R solar cells. The company said the modules are engineered to deliver higher efficiency and lower performance degradation.

At the same event, Inox Wind Limited inaugurated its nacelle and hub manufacturing facility at Kalyangarh near Ahmedabad. The plant has an annual manufacturing capacity of 1.2 GW and has received approval from the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE). The facility will produce key components for the company’s 3 MW class wind turbines as well as its upcoming 4X MW class turbines. The location is expected to improve logistics and access to project sites in western and southern India.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Harsh Sanghavi said Gujarat remains committed to expanding clean energy manufacturing and deployment. He said the new facilities are expected to generate more than 2,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Devansh Jain, Executive Director of the INOXGFL Group, said the group plans to scale up its solar manufacturing operations significantly. He said the company is targeting a cumulative solar module capacity of 11 GW and solar cell capacity of 8 GW by FY27, with facilities planned across India and overseas.
