Sharika Enterprises Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Russia’s Engineering Center Energoservice (ENS) to bring advanced grid monitoring solutions to India.

Under the agreement, Sharika Enterprises has secured exclusive rights to market and distribute ENS’s advanced grid protection and condition monitoring solutions, including transformer monitoring systems. These systems use synchrophasor measurements to provide real-time data and analytics, helping to reduce operational risks and prevent costly downtimes.

One of the key products in this partnership is the Intelligent Digital Device (ENIP-2) and its modules. These devices handle measurement, time synchronization, display, input-output, and communication functions, playing a crucial role in power system management.

Additionally, the collaboration will extend to Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS), which use synchronized Phasor Measurement Units (PMU) for real-time monitoring, helping to stabilize power grids.

Sharika Enterprises is also in talks with ENS to set up a manufacturing plant in India. This facility could be developed through a technology transfer or a joint venture. The initiative aligns with the ‘Make in India’ program and aims to localize ENS’s technology, making advanced digital power solutions more affordable for Indian utilities.

With the increased adoption of smart meters, the demand for advanced grid monitoring solutions will only grow. The use of real-time monitoring, as offered by ENS’s technology, can help ensure the stability of power grids and prevent failures.
