Hindustan Powerprojects Private Limited (HPPPL) has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for a 300 MW/425 MWp solar project.
The installation will be Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected and located in Madhya Pradesh.
The project is part of UPPCL’s plan to develop 2,000 MW of ISTS-connected solar capacity across India. HPPPL will be responsible for identifying land, setting up the plant, owning it, and maintaining it. The project will follow the build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) model.
The power generated will be supplied to UPPCL. HPPPL and UPPCL will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
UPPCL floated the tender in February 2024 under a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) model to select solar power developers.
The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD) is set for 24 months after signing the PPA.
