Greenko Energies Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Assam to develop a 900 MW pumped storage project (PSP) in Karbi Anglong district. The project will require an estimated investment of Rs 58.5 billion.
Separately, Greenko signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government to develop multiple new PSPs in the state.
In Odisha, Greenko signed an MoU in January 2025 to develop a 1,200 MW off-stream closed-loop pumped hydro storage project in the Kalahandi district. The company will invest over Rs 70 billion in this project.
Greenko is developing multiple PSPs across India, creating a 100+ GWh/day digital cloud storage platform to support industrial decarbonization in hard-to-abate sectors.
