The LoI was issued on May 13, 2025, under Component C of the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) program. The plants will power agriculture feeders and sell electricity to the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).

The projects include:

Synergy Wave had secured this capacity in February 2025, quoting a tariff of Rs 2.85 per kWh.

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) had originally invited bids in July 2024 for a 3,205 MW capacity. This was later revised to 2,553.5 MW under the RESCO model.

GP Eco’s work will cover design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning. It also includes construction of the bay, switchgear at substations, and comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years.
