Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd announced an outstanding order book of Rs 317.76 billion (net of taxes) as of September 30, 2024, including orders from the GIC platform and all company SPVs. This robust order book comprises long-term smart metering concessions of 8-10 years.
Commenting on the company’s Q2FY25 performance, Joint Managing Director Jitendra Kumar Agarwal highlighted the strategic advantage provided by this strong order book. Execution is expected to ramp up in Q3FY25, with increasing inquiries from Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs) for smart meters. While these providers’ letters of intent (LOIs) have been secured, they are excluded from the reported order book due to company policy.
Genus Power is preparing for large-scale project execution with investments in workforce expansion and system enhancements, ensuring effective project delivery and sustained competitive positioning. The company is also exploring growth opportunities in gas and water metering, viewing these as complementary sectors to its core smart electricity meter business.
