Gentari has partnered with UltraTech Cement Limited to commission a 7.5 MW hybrid round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project at Sewagram Cement Works in Gujarat. The facility combines solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems within the cement plant premises, making it the first of its kind in the country.
The project has been designed to provide uninterrupted clean power for UltraTech’s operations. By integrating bifacial solar modules with trackers, wind generation, and storage, the system is engineered to deliver reliability and flexibility comparable to conventional baseload power.
According to Gentari, the project represents a milestone in its India portfolio and aligns with its regional strategy to expand firm renewable power solutions across Asia-Pacific. The company said the collaboration with UltraTech reflects the growing demand for sustainable, round-the-clock energy solutions in heavy industry.
