G R Infraprojects Limited has been declared the lowest bidder for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at NTPC Limited’s Mouda Super Thermal Power Station. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract is valued at Rs 487.77 crore.

In a regulatory filing dated January 16, 2026, submitted to Stock Exchanges, the company said the selection followed the opening of financial bids on January 16, 2026.

The project, “EPC Package for BESS Implementation at NTPC Thermal Power Stations (Lot-1); Mouda Super Thermal Power Station (Mouda),” is part of NTPC’s larger tender for BESS deployment across multiple thermal stations. The contract value disclosed in the filing is Rs 487,77,77,777. The scope of work will be executed on an EPC basis with a stipulated completion period of 15 months.

NTPC’s BESS rollout is expansive. While the Mouda project under Lot-1 has an L-1 bidder, related tenders for other major stations, including Gadarwara, Khargone, Dadri, NTECL Vallur, Unchahar, Solapur, Bongaigaon, and Tanda, remain in the bidding phase.
