Enfinity Global Inc. has announced the expansion of its battery energy storage systems (BESS) portfolio with two new projects in Texas, totalling 425 MW of power capacity and 850 MWh of storage.
Construction is set to begin in the second and fourth quarters of 2025. These projects increase Enfinity’s U.S. BESS pipeline to 6.6 GW and align with its investment of over $7 billion, expected to create more than 5,000 construction jobs in the coming years.
Strategically located in ERCOT’s Houston and Dallas zones, the projects will help stabilize Texas’ rapidly growing electricity grid, driven by increasing demand from AI-driven data centers and manufacturing. Enfinity CEO Carlos Domenech emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing technology while boosting the U.S. economy.
With 400 MW of operational assets and 19 GW of solar and energy storage under development in the U.S., Enfinity expects to have over 1 GW of solar and storage operational or under construction this year. Ricardo Díaz, CEO of Enfinity Global Americas, highlighted the company’s expertise in greenfield development, positioning it as a key player in balancing ERCOT’s power grid.
In recent developments, Enfinity Global secured transmission connectivity for its two GW renewable energy projects across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka in India.
