Ecoren to invest Rs 763 billion in clean energy projects in Andhra Pradesh

Ecoren Group has signed a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop large scale clean energy projects in the state. The company plans to invest Rs 762.50 billion and build 8 GW of renewable energy capacity along with 1.25 million tonnes per annum of green molecules.
The initiative is expected to generate more than 12,000 direct and indirect jobs. Ecoren develops, finances and operates utility-scale renewable projects. Its portfolio includes 1.5 GW of commissioned capacity and 4.3 GW of contracted projects.
The company stated that the partnership aligns with the state’s long term clean energy goals and will support wider economic activity. Ecoren acknowledged the support of the Andhra Pradesh government and the CII Partnership Summit organizers. It added that the MoU demonstrates a shared effort to expand renewable energy and strengthen the clean infrastructure base.
The agreement marks a step forward in India’s broader shift toward low-carbon energy and large-scale decarbonization.
