Several consultancy contracts have been awarded in the power sector across thermal, hydro, and solar projects in different states. These assignments cover a range of technical services including DPR preparation, geotechnical investigations, project management consultancy, and surveys.
Desein Private Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 0.69 million from Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL). The consultancy involves preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed 2×800 MW coal-based ultra-supercritical Panipat Thermal Power Station. HPGCL currently operates the 710 MW Panipat Thermal Power Station, and this expansion will be located in the same region.
In Chhattisgarh, Soiltech India Private Limited has been awarded a Rs 2.7 million contract by NTPC Limited for geotechnical testing at Reservoir Two of the Lara Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage II. The second stage of the project involves developing two 800 MW units in the Raigarh district.
In Goa, Grant Thornton India LLP has been selected for consultancy services worth Rs 30.09 million to assist the Department of Power (DoP), Goa, in implementing the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). The consultancy includes project management support for strengthening and upgrading the state’s distribution network.
Meanwhile, in Arunachal Pradesh, Pureways Infra Private Limited has received a Rs 12.43 million contract from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for core drilling and geotechnical investigations at the 700 MW Tato-II Hydro Electric Project.
In Assam, eight firms have submitted bids for topographical survey and geotechnical investigation for the 50 MW Lower Kopili Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project. The project is being developed by the joint venture of Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) and Oil India Limited (OIL) in Dima Hasao district.
