The Ministry of Coal has signed agreements for two coal blocks under the 11th round of commercial coal mine auctions.

Marwatola-II has been awarded to Singhal Business Private Limited. Namchik West has gone to PRA Nuravi Coal Mining Private Limited. One of the blocks is fully explored, while the other is partially explored.

Together, the two mines have a peak rated capacity of 0.34 million tonnes per annum. They are expected to generate Rs 1.06 billion in annual revenue.

The projects are likely to draw a capital investment of Rs 550 million.
