CIP, China Steel inaugurate 300 MW Zhong Neng offshore wind farm in Taiwan

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and China Steel Corporation (CSC) have officially inaugurated the 300MW Zhong Neng offshore wind farm off the coast of Changhua County, Taiwan. The project, a joint venture between CIP’s Copenhagen Infrastructure IV (CI IV) fund and CSC, marks the country’s first offshore wind farm completed ahead of schedule.

Led by Copenhagen Offshore Partners and the local Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company, the project saw the installation of its first turbines in May 2024, with full grid connection expected by the end of the year. The wind farm will generate enough power for 300,000 households and is projected to reduce carbon emissions by 550,000 tonnes annually.
