Coal India Limited (CIL) has invited Expression of Interest (EoI) bids for the supply of renewable energy from 4,500 MW wind-solar hybrid projects across India. The EoI was released on May 19, 2025, and the last date for bid submission is June 9, 2025.

The hybrid power mix will include 2,500 MW to 3,000 MW of solar and 1,500 MW to 2,000 MW of wind. Power will be supplied under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA), with scheduled supply commencement 24 months after signing the agreement.

Separately, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has floated a Request for Proposal (RfP) for a 10 MW solar power project in Madhya Pradesh. Bids are due by June 30, 2025. The project includes full lifecycle responsibility—design, supply, erection, commissioning, and 25 years of operations and maintenance. The successful bidder will also secure land and all necessary permits. The power generated will supply JMC’s pumping stations via connection to the 132/33 kV MPPTCL substation. The project is to be completed within 15 months of the Letter of Award (LoA).

Additionally, the Municipal Corporation of Khandwa has invited EoIs for selecting a solar power developer for a grid-connected floating solar power project on the Nagchoon Reservoir. The EoI was released on May 19, 2025, and the last date for submission is June 19, 2025.

This project will be developed on a design, build, finance, and operate (DBFO) basis. The municipal body will assist with land access, clearances, and coordination for signing the PPA with the Department of Electricity Madhya Pradesh (EDGMP) and the Power Sale Agreement (PSA), subject to tariff approval by the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC).
