Cero Generation secures funding for 244.7 MW solar projects in Spain

Cero Generation has secured financing for a 244.7 MW solar project portfolio in Spain’s Palencia region. The projects will begin construction soon, supported by a consortium of lenders including Banco Sabadell, Rabobank, and ING. A ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with an undisclosed international tech company underpins the project.

Engineering and construction will be handled by Elmya and Metlen, with LONGi supplying the solar modules. The projects will generate 480 GWh annually, powering 150,000 homes and reducing CO₂ emissions by 175,000 tons each year. The construction phase will create 200 local jobs, and Cero has committed to supporting conservation efforts in Castilla y León.

Cero’s portfolio now includes 600 MW of projects either operational or under construction, contributing to its 26 GW of assets in Europe.
