Power ministry to launch Rs 10 billion scheme for MSME energy efficiency

NHPC to commission Parbati-II hydroelectric project by March 2025

NHPC has announced that all four units of the Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project (800 MW) in Himachal Pradesh are expected to be operational by March 2025.  This run-of-the-river project is designed to harness the hydro potential of the lower reaches of the Parbati River. With a cost estimate of Rs 39.2 billion, it will feature four Pelton turbines, each with a 200 MW capacity, supplied by Bharat Heavy Electricals.

NVVN invites proposals for 7.2 MW rooftop solar project for Assam Rifles

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has released a tender for the installation of 7.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across 26 Assam Rifles buildings in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam.  The bid submission deadline is December 2, 2024.  The project scope covers design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and the inclusion of a solar module cleaning system, remote monitoring, and ten years of operation and maintenance.

RRECL invites bids for 282 MW rooftop solar projects

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) has issued a tender for the development of 282 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on government buildings across Rajasthan.  The bid submission deadline is November 26, 2024.  The project scope covers design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and 25 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) from the commissioning date.

NHPC reports Rs 10.69 billion net profit for Q2 FY2024, down 36.86%

NHPC Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 10.69 billion for the quarter ending September 2024, marking a 36.86% decline from Rs 16.93 billion in the same quarter the previous year.  However, the company’s total income rose by 9.25% to Rs 34.02 billion during this quarter, compared to Rs 31.14 billion in the corresponding period last year.
