NTPC plans bulk purchase of nuclear reactors

NTPC Limited is preparing to acquire nuclear reactors in large numbers as part of India’s strategy to install 100 gigawatts (GW) of nuclear power capacity by 2047. The state-run utility expects to account for nearly one-third of this planned capacity. The company is considering high-capacity reactor units in the range of 700 MW to 1,730 MW.
