Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has received bids from 12 companies to set up a 10 MW/13 MWp floating solar photovoltaic (PV) project at its Hazira plant in Surat, Gujarat. The project will be developed on a lump-sum turnkey basis.

The bidders include Enerture Technologies, Enviro Infra Engineers, Insolare Energy, Kishan Infrastructure Industries, KPI Green Energy, Lumino Industries, Madhav Infra Projects, Oriana Power, Prozeal Green Energy, Purshotam Profiles (PPPL), Solarium Green Energy, and Universal Transformers Infra.

Invited in February 2025, the tender covers design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project across 35 acres on Water Reservoirs 1 and 2. The scope also includes seven years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M).

In a separate development, Travancore Cochin Chemicals Limited (TCC) has received bids from three firms to set up a 22 MW group captive renewable energy power project for its chemical plant in Kochi, Kerala. The bidders are INKEL Limited, Solar Quest LLP, and FA Power Renewables.

The tender, issued in March 2025, includes setting up the plant and handling all regulatory and statutory clearances. The scope also involves arranging open access and financial closure. TCC will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) and shareholding agreement (SHA) with the successful bidder to procure at least 90 per cent of the power generated for 20 years.

A special purpose vehicle (SPV) will be formed as a joint venture (JV) between TCC and the selected firm. TCC will hold a 26 per cent equity stake in the project, which is expected to be commissioned by June 2026.
