Axitec launches 300 MW solar module plant in Tamil Nadu

Axitec has unveiled a new manufacturing plant in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, with an operational capacity of 300 MW per year. The facility will produce solar modules using n-type TOPCon technology, strategically located to optimize production and streamline the supply chain for timely product delivery.

This expansion is part of Axitec’s efforts to meet growing market demands and deliver high-quality solar solutions more efficiently. The plant is in the process of obtaining ALMM certification, with listing expected soon, ensuring compliance with national standards for government-supported projects. Adhering to rigorous German standards, Axitec’s new plant reinforces its commitment to quality in its manufacturing operations.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced that India has about 151 GW of renewable energy projects in various stages of implementation. Around 76.42 GW of this capacity will become operational in the next three to four years. The tendering process for the 76.42 GW capacity projects has been completed.
