Assam signs MoU with Hedge5 for 5 MW RTC RE power project

The Government of Assam (GoA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hedge5 Manufacturing Solution Private Limited to develop a 5 MW Round-The-Clock (RTC) renewable energy project, integrating solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The project is expected to be completed by December 2025.
At the “Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit” on March 3, 2025, the government also signed an MoU with Hindustan Powerprojects Private Limited (HPPPL) for a 100 MW solar power project and a 100 MWh BESS system. The solar and storage projects are estimated to cost Rs 5 billion and Rs 1.2 billion, respectively.
Earlier, on February 28, 2025, the New and Renewable Energy Department of Assam signed an MoU with Oriana Power Limited to develop solar and BESS projects in Kamrup district. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 5 billion.
These agreements reflect Assam’s push toward renewable energy adoption and infrastructure development.
