Ashoka Buildcon Limited has received a Letter of Contract Acceptance from the Ministry of Energy and Water of Angola for an electricity distribution project valued at USD 72.36 million.
According to a regulatory filing, the contract covers design, supply, installation, and commissioning of rehabilitation works for distribution networks under Lot 5 in Luanda City 2, Republic of Angola. The scope is part of the government’s Electricity Sector Improvement and Access Project aimed at strengthening power infrastructure and expanding access.
The award extends Ashoka Buildcon’s presence into the African power distribution segment, adding to its portfolio beyond India. The company secured the contract through a competitive bidding process.
Ashoka Buildcon stated that its promoter, promoter group, and group companies have no interest in the awarding entity. The contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction.Â
