Apar Industries recorded a 25% year-on-year increase in transformer oil volume in Q2FY25, driven by robust global demand. For the first half (H1) of FY25, transformer oil volume rose by 22.7%.
Performance across other segments:
Conductors
Volume growth remained flat in Q2FY25, primarily due to reduced exports amid increased competition from China and slow overseas demand. The export mix dropped to 18.7% from 48.3% in Q2FY24. Despite these challenges, premium products represented 42.2% of revenue in Q2, up from 39.9% in H1, with high-efficiency conductors and aluminium conductor composite core (ACCC) products produced in collaboration with CTC Global. New orders amounted to Rs 22.34 billion, with an outstanding order book of Rs 66.15 billion as of September 30, 2024.
Cables
The export mix for cables was 29% in Q2FY25, down from 44.5% in Q2FY24, balanced by significant domestic growth, with domestic revenue surging 77.8% year-on-year due to strong demand. The pending order book stood at Rs 17.83 billion as of September 30, 2024.
