Andhra Pradesh approves renewable projects worth Rs 27.23 billion

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved renewable energy projects totalling Rs 27.23 billion.
Key initiatives include a 1 million tonne per annum green ammonia facility in Kakinada by AM Green Ammonia (India) Private Limited, to promote eco-friendly fuel production.
Additionally, a solar hybrid and battery storage project in Nandyal and Kadapa districts has been approved. Developed by Clean Renewable Energy Hybrid Three Way Limited, it will combine 119 MW wind and 130 MW solar capacity. Tata Power Renewable Energy also received approval to establish a 400 MW solar project, managing land acquisition and infrastructure.
Financial backing is expected from the World Bank, HUDCO, and German institutions.
