Alpex-NVNR JV wins award for 70 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh

The joint venture of Alpex Solar Private Limited and NVNR Power and Infra Private Limited has received a Letter of Award worth Rs 3,499.93 million. The project involves setting up a 70 MW solar power plant at Nandan Washery of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) in the Kanhan area of Damua, Madhya Pradesh.

The award was issued on May 9, 2025. Bids were invited in December 2024 by Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL).

The project will be built on 160 hectares of land. Scope includes design, engineering, supply, storage, and construction. It also covers civil works, services, permits, licences, installation, and insurance across all stages.

Erection, testing, commissioning, and 10 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) are also part of the contract.
