AHAsolar Technologies Limited has won a contract worth Rs 2.95 million from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) for preparing pre-feasibility reports (PFRs) and detailed project reports (DPRs) for five floating solar projects across three states. NEEPCO had invited bids for the contract in May 2024, and the award was announced on February 17, 2025.

The floating solar power projects will be developed on the Dhadraul reservoir in Sonbhadra, the Moosakhand reservoir in Chandauli, and the Pahuj reservoir in Jhansi, all in Uttar Pradesh. In addition, projects will be set up on the Umiam reservoir in Shillong, Meghalaya, and the Serlui-B reservoir in Kolasib, Mizoram.

The scope of work includes conducting single beam and multibeam bathymetry surveys, geophysical and geotechnical studies, topographic surveys, and energy yield assessments. The reports will cover both technical and commercial analysis to evaluate feasibility, risks, and mitigation strategies for the projects.

AHAsolar will also assess power evacuation options by identifying the nearest Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) and State Transmission Utility (STU) substations, evaluating spare capacities, and estimating development costs. The company will provide an indicative tariff range for each floating solar project site.
