Advait and Adaptive will develop an integrated BESS platform in India

Advait Battery Ecosystems, a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions, has signed an agreement with Adaptive Engineering to jointly develop and commercialise an integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing and solutions platform in India.

The partnership will focus on utility-scale and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) applications, covering the entire BESS value chain, including cell integration, system engineering, Energy Management Systems (EMS), system integration and lifecycle optimisation.

Under the arrangement, Advait Battery Ecosystems will lead manufacturing, infrastructure development, capital investment and commercial activities. The company has secured land for the manufacturing facility, commenced civil works, finalised the assembly line OEM, and is targeting commissioning by November 2026.

Adaptive Engineering will lead technology and engineering functions, contributing expertise in engineering design, PLC, SCADA, EMS architecture and system integration. The company has experience across more than 68 GW of renewable energy projects, over 55 GW of Power Plant Controller (PPC) installations, 1.4 GWh of EMS-BESS deployments and management of more than 500 renewable energy sites.

The platform is designed to support future technologies such as hydrogen, fuel cells, EV charging infrastructure, microgrids and virtual power plants.
