Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Limited (AREH9L), a subsidiary of the Adani Group, has signed a share subscription and shareholders’ agreement (SSSHA) with Adani Renewables Energy Three Limited and DC Development Noida Limited to facilitate a captive power arrangement.
As part of the agreement, DC Development Noida Limited will acquire a 26 per cent stake in Adani Renewables Energy Three Limited to meet the minimum captive shareholding requirement under captive power rules.
Meanwhile, Adani Green Energy has surpassed 12,000 megawatts (MW) of operational capacity, making it the first renewable energy company in India to reach this milestone.
The company’s portfolio now stands at 12,258.1 MW, including 8,347.5 MW of solar, 1,651 MW of wind, and 2,259.6 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. Its operations currently power over 6.2 million homes and help avoid 22.64 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. A key part of its expansion is the 30,000 MW Khavda renewable energy plant in Gujarat, which is set to become the world’s largest power facility across all energy sources. Adani Green Energy has already commissioned 2,824.1 MW at Khavda and remains committed to achieving 50,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
