Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has expanded its renewable energy portfolio by commissioning 500 MW of solar power capacity in Rajasthan through its subsidiaries.
On March 23, 2025, Adani Green Energy Twenty Five Limited (AGE25L), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AGEL, commissioned 250 MW of solar capacity at Badi Sid and Kalyan Ki Sid villages in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This project is part of the 8,000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Connected Solar Power project linked with a 2,000 MW solar manufacturing plant in Mundra, Gujarat. The power generated will be sold to Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The project is expected to be fully completed by November 2025.
Separately, AGEL commissioned another 250 MW solar power project in Bhimsar, Rajasthan, through its step-down subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Four Limited. Operations for this plant commenced on March 21, 2025, following regulatory approvals. The Bhimsar plant uses water-free robotic cleaning technology to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
With these additions, AGEL’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached 12,841 MW.
