Adani Green Energy Twenty Four Limited (AGE24L), a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), commissioned 250 MW of solar capacity on February 21, 2025. The project is part of the 8,000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power initiative linked to a manufacturing plant at Bhimsar and Dwada in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
AGEL secured the 8,000 MW capacity bid in January 2020, following SECI’s (Solar Energy Corporation of India) tender issued in June 2019.
The project includes developing 8,000 MW of ISTS-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) plants and a 2,000 MW solar manufacturing facility in Mundra, Gujarat, under a build, own, and operate (BOO) model.
The power generated will be supplied to SECI under a 25-year agreement. The project is being executed in phases and is expected to be completed by November 2025.
