Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (Adani Electricity) has secured top rankings in three independent national assessments conducted by the Ministry of Power (MoP).
The company ranked first in the 13th Integrated Rating Exercise by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC), earned an A+ grade in the Consumer Service Rating of DISCOMs (CSRD) by the Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), and was recognized as India’s top urban and overall utility in the first-ever Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) Report for FY24.
The DUR Report evaluates utilities based on financial sustainability, performance excellence, and consumer service, integrating insights from previous assessments. It also includes additional parameters such as Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) compliance, communicable system metering, demand-side response, and resource adequacy planning.
Tata Power-led Odisha distribution companies (Discoms) have also secured top positions among 63 power utilities.
In the Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) Report for FY 2023-24, the top-performing utilities in various categories were:
- Distribution Utilities Category: Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL), Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (DHBVNL), and Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL).
- Special Category State Utilities: Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), and Arunachal Pradesh Power Department.
- Urban DISCOMs: Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML), Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), and NOIDA Power Company Limited (NPCL).
Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) and Tata Power Company Limited (TPCL) Mumbai also secured the highest A+ grade in the 4th edition of the Consumer Services Rating of DISCOMs (CSRD) Report for superior customer service.
