ACME commissions second phase of BESS project in Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Limited (ASHL), through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, has commissioned the second phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The newly commissioned segment adds 38 MW / 82 MWh of storage capacity at the project site in the Jaisalmer district.

The operational phase forms part of a larger 285 MW / 600 MWh BESS project located in the villages of Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in Pokhran Tehsil. The facility is being developed by ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ASHL.

According to the company, the commercial operation date (COD) for the Phase-II segment is March 5, 2026. The commissioning follows an earlier partial activation of the project that was announced on February 25, 2026.

In the previous month, ASHL commissioned the first phase of the project through ACME Suryodaya. The initial phase added 19 MW / 38 MWh of battery energy storage capacity and became operational on February 25, 2026.
