NHPC Limited has commenced rotor assembly for Unit 7 of its 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (SLHEP) in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, marking a key step towards the erection and commissioning of the 250 MW unit.

The milestone was achieved during a visit to the project by Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), NHPC, and Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance), NHPC, from August 20 to 22, 2026.
