GE Vernova T&D India reports 38% revenue growth in Q1 FY27
GE Vernova T&D India Limited reported revenue of Rs 1,840 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking a 38% increase from Rs 1,330 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Profit After Tax (PAT) rose 25% year-on-year to Rs 360 crore, while the company continued to execute transmission projects in India and overseas despite lower order inflows during the quarter.
PAT for the quarter stood at Rs 360 crore, with a margin of 19.8%, compared to Rs 290 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA increased 19% year-on-year to Rs 460 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 25.1%, against Rs 390 crore and a margin of 29.1% in the year-ago period.
Order bookings during the quarter stood at Rs 1,140 crore, down 30% from Rs 1,620 crore in Q1 FY26.
Order wins
The company secured a mix of domestic and international orders across its transmission equipment portfolio during the quarter.
International orders included the supply of Current Transformers (CTs) and Capacitive Voltage Transformers (CVTs) to GE Grid Renewable LLC for North America, 400 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for GE Grid Solutions, S.A. in Spain, and 400 kV GIS for GE Grid Solutions, Middle East for a project in Morocco. The company also received export orders for Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and GIS equipment from customers in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In the domestic market, GE Vernova T&D India secured an order for a 150 MVA 245 kV transformer from a leading semiconductor player, multiple Grid Automation packages from state utilities, EPC contractors and data centres, and several orders for 765 kV and 400 kV AIS equipment from EPC players.
Project execution
During the quarter, the company commissioned multiple transmission assets across India and neighbouring markets.
These included 400 kV bays for Adani KPS-3 and the RTM package at Khavda, Gujarat; 400 kV and 220 kV GIS bays along with power transformers for the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Khmiti Site in Nepal; and a 275 MVA 765 kV transformer for Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) at the Ghatampur project.
The company also commissioned 765 kV and 400 kV Shunt Reactors at multiple Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) and Resonia locations, as well as GIS bays for Renew Power and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) at Chandrapura Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand.
