KP Energy signs 100 MW wind PPA with GUVNL under Phase X tender
K.P. Energy Limited has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 100 MW grid-connected wind power project under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) business, taking the company’s cumulative IPP portfolio beyond 250 MW.
The agreement follows the Letter of Intent (LoI) issued by GUVNL on March 30, 2026, under the utility’s Wind Tender Phase X. The tariff and PPA have subsequently received approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).
Under the PPA, K.P. Energy will supply electricity from the project at a tariff of Rs 3.435 per unit for a period of 25 years.
The Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date has been fixed as July 30, 2028, providing a 24-month execution period from the date of signing the agreement.
According to the company, the latest agreement increases its cumulative IPP portfolio to more than 250 MW and further expands its presence in the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
