PFCCL incorporates SPV for 5×500 MVA Benachigere transmission project
PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), has incorporated a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for the development of a 5×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Benachigere in Tumkur District, Karnataka, along with associated transmission lines.
The SPV has been incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PFCCL to facilitate development of the transmission scheme. It will be transferred to the successful bidder after completion of the bidding process, following which the selected bidder will undertake development of the project.
Project scope
The transmission scheme involves establishment of a 5×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Benachigere in Tumkur District and associated transmission lines.
Preparatory work for the project began earlier, with a tender issued on November 13, 2025, for appointment of a Technical Consultant to carry out the survey and prepare the project report using modern survey techniques. GIS Data Solutions was declared the successful bidder for the technical consultancy assignment.
