KEC International secures Rs 1,180 crore orders across businesses
KEC International Limited has secured new orders worth Rs 1,180 crore across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Renewables, Civil, and Cables & Conductors businesses, taking its year-to-date order intake to more than Rs 5,200 crore.
The latest order wins include projects in India, the Middle East and the Americas, spanning transmission infrastructure, solar power, thermal power and cable supply.
Transmission orders
The company’s T&D business has secured its first transmission line project associated with power evacuation for a data centre in Western India from a private sector developer.
The order marks KEC International’s entry into the emerging data centre power infrastructure segment, which is expected to see increased investment alongside the expansion of digital infrastructure across the country.
The T&D business has also secured orders for the supply of transmission line towers in the Middle East and for the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas.
Renewables
In the renewable energy segment, KEC International has secured an order for a solar photovoltaic (PV) project exceeding 200 MW in Western India.
The project has been awarded by an existing client, which the company described as a private developer. The latest award adds to the company’s renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) portfolio and reflects the growing share of repeat business in the segment.
Civil and cables
The Civil business has received an order for additional civil and structural works for a 150 MW thermal power plant being developed in Eastern India by a private sector company.
Meanwhile, the Cables & Conductors business secured multiple orders across domestic and international markets. The company did not disclose further details regarding the scope or value of these individual contracts.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Vimal Kejriwal said the transmission order for a data centre represents a milestone for the company’s T&D business, while the solar project and tower supply contracts strengthen its position across key infrastructure segments.
