TARIL wins over Rs 1,000 crore transformer order from POWERGRID

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has secured an order worth over Rs 1,000 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the manufacture and supply of transformers of various ratings. The contract also includes all associated works and is scheduled to be executed over the next 30 months.

The order comes as India continues to expand and modernise its power transmission network to support rising electricity demand, accelerate renewable energy integration and advance the country’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

According to the company, the contract is among its largest project wins to date and further strengthens its order book. TARIL stated that the order reinforces its position in the power transmission sector and reflects its capability to deliver large-scale transformer solutions for critical infrastructure projects.

PGCIL, India’s largest electric power transmission utility, is responsible for developing and operating the country’s interstate transmission network. The company said the order highlights TARIL’s ability to execute strategically important projects supporting the expansion of India’s energy infrastructure.
