Bluspring unit secures Rs 1,626 crore Vedanta O&M contract extensions
Bluspring Enterprises Limited has announced that its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, STEAG Energy Services (India) Private Limited, has received extensions for two operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts from Vedanta Group companies with a combined estimated value of Rs 1,626.28 crore, excluding applicable taxes.
The five-year contract extensions will take effect from July 1, 2026.
The first contract has been awarded by Vedanta Power Limited (VPL) for comprehensive O&M services at a 600 MW thermal power plant. The contract has an estimated value of Rs 406.43 crore.
The second contract has been awarded by Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited (VAML) for comprehensive O&M services for Units 1, 3 and 4 of a 1,800 MW (3×600 MW) thermal power plant. The estimated contract value is Rs 1,219.85 crore.
Bluspring Enterprises said both contracts have been awarded by domestic entities and do not involve related party transactions. The company also stated that neither its promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entities.
The contract extensions will continue STEAG Energy Services’ long-term O&M work for Vedanta’s thermal power assets.
Earlier this month, STEAG Energy secured a comprehensive O&M contract from Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) for its 1,740 MW power plant. The contract is valued at an estimated Rs 2,049.8 crore.
