Rajesh Power wins Rs 211 crore transmission order, marks entry into Odisha
Rajesh Power Services Limited (RPSL) has secured an order worth Rs 211.68 crore, including taxes, from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a Government of Odisha undertaking. The contract marks the company’s entry into Odisha and is among the largest transmission segment orders secured by the company.
Project scope
The contract covers the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 220kV underground transmission line connecting the 400/220/132/33kV Grid Substation (GSS) Mendhasal and the 220/132/33kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) GSS Chandaka-B.
The scope also includes the extension of one 220kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) bay at GSS Mendhasal and one 220kV GIS bay at Chandaka-B.
Expansion into Odisha
The order expands Rajesh Power Services’ operational footprint into eastern India. Before this project, the company had executed projects across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
The project is scheduled for completion within 24 months. According to the company, the order will strengthen its existing order book and support its long-term business growth.

RPSL is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company operating in the power transmission and distribution sector. The company undertakes turnkey execution of GIS and AIS substations, extra high voltage power cable projects, transmission lines, and distribution systems.
In March 2026, Rajesh Power Projects Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of RPSL, signed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 65 MW / 130 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Virpore in Gujarat.Â
