Advait Energy Transitions Limited, formerly known as Advait Infratech Limited, has informed the stock exchanges that its wholly owned subsidiary, Advait BESS Bhesaan Private Limited, has executed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project with a capacity of 150 MW/300 MWh in Gujarat.

Project details

Under the BESPA, Advait BESS Bhesaan Private Limited will develop, own and operate the standalone BESS project near the 220 kV Bhesan substation of Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) in Gujarat.

The company will provide the contracted battery energy storage capacity to GUVNL on a long-term basis.

The project was awarded under GUVNL’s Phase-VIII tariff-based competitive bidding process, supported through Viability Gap Funding (VGF) from the Power System Development Fund (PSDF).

Earlier, in April 2026, Advait Energy had received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from GUVNL for the same project after emerging as the lowest (L1) bidder. The company had quoted a tariff of Rs 2.10 lakh per MW per month, inclusive of taxes.

Agreement tenure

The BESPA will remain valid for 12 years from the effective date of signing.

According to the company, the contract is domestic in nature, and neither the promoter, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in GUVNL. The transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.
