Apple, CleanMax to invest Rs 100 crore in C&I renewable energy
Apple Inc. and CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Limited have announced a strategic co-investment of around Rs 100 crore to support the expansion of renewable energy projects for India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. The move builds on an earlier partnership between the two companies focused on supplying renewable energy for Apple’s operations in India.
Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director and Founder of CleanMax, said the company is pleased to deepen its association with Apple and continue supporting long-term corporate net-zero goals. He added that Apple continues to encourage the ecosystem to scale faster and adopt more responsible infrastructure development practices.
The planned investment will be used to develop large-scale renewable energy projects aimed at strengthening low-carbon infrastructure and supporting clean energy adoption among corporate consumers in India.
The partnership also highlights the increasing use of strategic co-investment models to finance renewable energy infrastructure for the C&I segment.
CleanMax stated that data centres and artificial intelligence (AI) accounted for 42% of its contracted volumes as of Q3 FY26. The company serves more than 570 customers and operates across India, the Middle East, and South-East Asia. It describes itself as India’s largest renewable energy solutions provider for the C&I sector.
