MNRE updates ALMM List-II with Renewsys addition, Waaree revisions
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued the seventh revision of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for Solar PV Cells (List-II), adding a new manufacturer and revising technical parameters for an existing producer. The update took effect on April 30, 2026.
MNRE has included M/s. Renewsys India Pvt. Ltd. in the list for the first time. The company’s facility is located in the Fabcity of Maheswaram, Telangana. It has an enlisted capacity of 452 MW per year for its bifacial N-Type TOPCon solar cell, Model RESERV 71P. The cell measures 182.2 mm × 183.75 mm and uses 16 busbars. The enlistment remains valid until April 29, 2030. The manufacturer has declared an average efficiency of 24.60%, with a range of 24.00% to 25.60%.
MNRE has also revised specifications for M/s. Waaree Energies Limited, based in Navsari, Gujarat. For its Mono Crystalline PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) (P-Type) bifacial cell with a listed capacity of 1,328 MW, the efficiency range has been updated to 22.00%–23.70%, and the wattage range to 7.36 W–7.85 W. For its Mono Crystalline TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) (N-Type) bifacial cell with a capacity of 3,923 MW, the revised efficiency range is 24.00%–25.80%, and the wattage range is 8.00 W–8.68 W.
The Ministry stated that ALMM List-II for Solar PV Cells, first issued on July 31, 2025, is being updated periodically to reflect the expansion of domestic manufacturing capacity.
